Survivor Series 2019 Live

Survivor Series 2019 Live : WWE Survivor Series 2019 will be the first pay-per-view of its kind: A three-way battle among Raw, SmackDown and NXT that is highlighted by blockbuster inter-brand matches like Becky Lynch vs. Shayna Baszler vs. Bayley and The New Day vs. The Viking Raiders vs. The Undisputed Era.

The reasoning behind the sudden tri-branded cross-promotion is undoubtedly two-fold: One, WWE is hoping that NXT’s war with Raw and SmackDown will result in added exposure for a yellow brand that has, for the most part, seen its viewership consistently struggle on USA Network–a goal it seemed to accomplished when NXT finally beat AEW in viewership this week. Two, WWE wants the ongoing beef among its top three brands to end the long-running ratings woes for Raw and SmackDown, which didn’t seem to happen consistently in route to Survivor Series. Especially at a time when morale has plummeted and many superstars have “lost respect” for Vince McMahon following the Crown Jewel travel debacle, it’s imperative that WWE begins putting on a better product, pushing more rising superstars and changing the locker room culture.

Putting on a quality show at Survivor Series won’t serve as a cure all for all of WWE’s ongoing issues, but for a show that features big matches–like Rey Mysterio vs. Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship as well as Bray Wyatt vs. Daniel Bryan for the Universal title–and is looking quite strong on paper, the pay-per-view could be a turning point for WWE during a period in which it’s clearly in a state of flux. As is always the case, whether or not WWE regains the momentum it once had will depend upon the quality of its programming, but WWE can undoubtedly head back in the right direction with a well-booked effort from the Allstate Arena.

While it’s been a RAW vs SmackDown affair the last few years, the black and gold brand has been thrown into the mix after an announcement made during the Crown Jewel show in Saudi Arabia. What followed was the invasion of all three brands on the others’ respective shows. After many of the RAW and SmackDown stars were stuck in Saudi Arabia, the NXT roster appeared on SmackDown to show the blue brand that they are not the “little brothers” in this fight.

They then showed up on RAW before Full Sail began, with stars from SmackDown and the flagship show also appearing.
This Sunday, all three brands will put their title holders in action, and there are three championship matches for the top belts. A lot can happen this Sunday that can potentially change how all three shows move forward toward the Royal Rumble. We also can’t omit that NXT is putting on t its Takeover: WarGames pay-per-view the night before, so the black and gold brand are pulling double duty this weekend.
